Having worked with WaveLength for the past six months in their six week tutoring class and in private lessons, I can say that WaveLength completely changed my perspective on standardized testing and the college application process. Though I attend a very vigorous MCVSD high school, my scores at the time did not reflect the hard work I put into my schoolwork. 

Daniel changed my entire mindset for the verbal section of the exam. Before my tutoring with Daniel, I felt hopeless with my score in that section and feared that I would not be able to improve. In just a couple months of tutoring, my score rose in the verbal section 80 points. Prior to my tutoring with Matt, if someone told me the score that I had just received on my math section of the exam I probably would have laughed. Daniel was my daughter's tutor for the Monmouth County Vocational School District MCVSD High School entrance exam. Her goal was to attend Biotechnology High School and we wanted her to have some preparation before she took the exam. All in all, it was money very well spent - not only did my daughter score very well on the exam, she went into it with a plan and new found confidence. Daniel's knowledge of the test was comprehensive. His style is relaxed and confident. He pinpoints the gaps in a student’s knowledge without harm and highlights their best attributes in order to build self-assurance. I highly recommend Daniel and look forward to working with him in the future, as my son wants to join his sister at Biotech.

Although I expected to learn more about how to write the essay, I learned more about how to identify grammatical errors and to respond to reading comprehension questions with the maximum amount of accuracy. I was able to review concepts that I already knew in preparation for the SAT. I also felt that I learned a lot of things that I did not already know, as well.

Marlee and Matt have a unique approach to teaching the SAT by taking common errors and tricks and applying them to the questions. I definitely saw my scores get better in such a short amount of time (especially critical reading). They make the test less stressful by teaching a simple way to approach each question. Marlee really helped me improve on my weak areas and get even better at what I was good at. She is incredibly knowledgeable and does a great job conveying a huge knowledge base to us. The Skinny helps immensely, and I learned a lot from both classes.
