The course was quite informative. The tutors provided "tips and tricks" that would make taking the SATs a bit easier. While taking this course I saw an immediate score increase on the first practice test compared to last PSAT that I took in the fall. Most of all, the best thing that I got out of this course was gaining the mentality to constantly improve my SAT/prepare for my SATs even when this course will be over. The SAT is one of the most important tests you can take in your pre-adult life. No matter what GPA you accumulate or extra curricular resume you may manage to piece together, there will always be the matter of your simple and undiscriminating SAT scores. It just a number, and yet it is so much more than that.
I’m a strong student; Matt and Dan never had to change my work ethic or teach me math and grammar. While I’m sure they could have revamped my entire understanding of the subjects, they did something even more impressive. My tutors took the knowledge and understanding that I already had and squeezed extra points out of it. By simply teaching my brain how to think about and approach problems, they molded me into a better test taker. The night before my second and final attempt at the SAT, I sat down with Matt and identified a critical error in my test taking. I knew how to solve any math problem they would give me, but I would time and time again make careless errors. That night we developed a new method for marking and checking problems, a method that on each section saved me one or two careless errors. This no doubt led to the 130 point rise in my math score. That night sitting with Matt in my living room, I knew we had arrived at something innovative for my test taking, and I never would have achieved an 800 without it. Matt knew my abilities better than I did and was able to address my weaknesses with amazing insight. Not only did I build upon my skills while with Matt and Dan, but I enjoyed every minute I spent working with them.
Matt and Dan were nothing less than the best teachers I could ask for. My only regret is that living in a boarding school I couldn’t spend more time working with them.

I really like WaveLength tutoring because it was a very relaxing environment and I learned a lot. I learned organization, time management, and how to decode the test. For writing and reading, I learned how to read passages more efficiently and effectively and also learned how to write a great essay in a small amount of time. For math, I learned terms that I need to decode word problems. My score from before definitely improved drastically as much as from a 490 to a 610. I also really liked WaveLength because the instructors were easy to talk to and not intimidating. We not only learned SAT stuff, but life lessons.

My time with the WaveLength ACT test prep program was invaluable. Working with the fantastic tutors, all with their own teaching style and personality, prepared me for the SAT and the ACT.
