Explanations - Milnes
I attended WaveLength after getting stuck at a score of 1320 on two consecutive PSATs, and after a several week course my tutors Matt and Marlee were able to help me get my score up to a 1510. My two tutors were incredibly helpful and offered some much needed insight - they were thorough in their explanations and willing to help everyone in the class with their own individual needs. I’m incredibly grateful for my time with Matt and Marlee and the impact they had on my score.
99th percentile - Grant
We had initially signed our son up for the group classes, but due to medical issues we had to withdraw. WaveLength was kind enough to roll over our tuition to in home private lessons.
Andrea came weekly over just a few months and despite my son not doing much between lessons (not too motivated with homework), he was able to raise his scores considerably and even score in the 99th percentile in verbal! We are very happy with WaveLength and Andrea!!! Thanks for making the process easy.
Susan and all.
Dream score - Marriott
Having worked with WaveLength for the past six months in their six week tutoring class and in private lessons, I can say that WaveLength completely changed my perspective on standardized testing and the college application process. Though I attend a very vigorous MCVSD high school, my scores at the time did not reflect the hard work I put into my schoolwork.
Daniel changed my entire mindset for the verbal section of the exam. Before my tutoring with Daniel, I felt hopeless with my score in that section and feared that I would not be able to improve. In just a couple months of tutoring, my score rose in the verbal section 80 points. Now, I have more confidence when taking the exam and feel that I have a “game plan” going into every verbal section.
Prior to my tutoring with Matt, if someone told me the score that I had just received on my math section of the exam I probably would have laughed. Matt’s tutoring not only changed my entire approach to taking ANY test, but motivated me to be confident in my skills and to trust the process. After my tutoring with Matt, my confidence not only rose for the SAT, but in other areas in my life. I cannot thank him enough for motivating me continuously, never doubting my abilities, and for always believing in me.
The numbers can speak for themselves. From the beginning of my journey with WaveLength till now my SAT score has increased 250 points from my sophomore PSAT and it is not stopping there. I cannot thank Matt and Daniel enough for their help, and will always recommend WaveLength to anyone who is motivated and willing to work hard to achieve their dream score.
MCVSD test prep session - Greco
We are very happy with WaveLength. Matt was great at giving us an overview and setting everything up with Daniel for a private MCVSD test prep session with my daughter. Daniel was great at giving her solid test taking strategies and boosting her confidence.
Unique tricks - Smith
I thought the class was extremely helpful. Being in the class setting made it a comfortable environment to ask questions and learn. Both Marlee and Matt were open to any questions, no matter how dumb. The practice tests and review sessions were extremely helpful. The unique tricks I was taught have helped improve my score at a much faster rate than my friends with other tutors. All in all, great class that I would recommend. I hope I get a 1600! (Joking, probably not happening)
110 points - McManus
This class the second time around was just as good and I learned just as much throughout the last six weeks. Matt and Marlee teach a unique way of taking the SAT and it is very effective. I went up to 110 points from my first test and feel confident that I will continue to go up.
Able - Larkin
I thought that the class opened my eyes about how the SAT was mostly about strategy. I think that Marlee and Matt were both amazing on how they taught the class and work able to engage everyone. Both teachers were very interesting. The advice and tools given to me were very helpful and made me confident in my work. The Skinny was very smart and the Barron's book I thought was helpful.
100% effective - McNamara
WaveLength is chill. I learned stuff I didn’t know existed and strategies that improved my scores, as well as my regular math and English abilities. 100% effective and cool classes. The way you learn to work will bleed into other parts of life and school and make it easier to deal with.
Ready to kill - Arias
I feel that the class has helped me to move farther onto a path leading to a high SAT score. The score from my PSAT had me feeling like I was doomed, but after taking this class I feel prepared and ready to kill my SATs. My PSAT score was 1000 and my practice test currently are showing around 1300. The math strategy is extremely helpful, and the verbal tips are also very helpful. Hopefully I will be able to prove myself.
Brought up - Stroz
Overall I thought the class was extremely helpful and it drastically brought up my scores. I feel that working in a small group is very helpful because there is more attention and help with each student. I also found it helpful that we went over all the questions we got wrong on the practice tests so that we know what to do when we see a similar problem. I feel that the class is definitely worth the money because of all the help and you can tell that both teachers genuinely care about our scores and our futures and that is a very important quality for a teacher in my opinion.
Stress - Lopez
I like how from day one the space is established as a relaxing environment. Usually when thinking about SATs and SAT classes, stress is associated but that is not the case here. Marlee- class is great. I was very scared about my reading score, but it increased a lot. I always have fun in class and never found myself bored. Matt- I like how we don’t only talk about math, we talk about how we can apply what we are learning here and apply it to life. The homework load is manageable and even though I’m not a math person, I can tell I am getting a lot better.
Personal way - Isabella
I really loved the class. I learned so much. My teachers really got to know how I learned and I appreciated that because it helped me along the way with my personal way of taking my test. These classes even opened up my eyes to the way I process things. I am very grateful I was able to take this class because what I learned will be used in the future for me. Also thank you for being so nice and cool!!
Actual content - Roberto
I learned a lot not only about the SAT and test taking skills, but how to use those skills, and translate them into being successful in real life. Loved that I learned more about strategies, than the actual content.
Educational consultant- Labrecque
As an Independent Educational Consultant, I knew I wanted test prep for my child that would be personalized, not one size fits all. Matt delivered! We saw a meaningful jump between PSAT and SAT. Matt’s energetic sessions went beyond repeating problems to include great advice on how to approach the test ... and life! Matt knows how to build self-confidence in his students, which is so important for these standardized tests. Appreciated his flexibility in scheduling during busy summer months. Recommend!
Mastering math - Reiger
Not only did my private math sessions with Matt help me to gain 160 points on the SAT, but it also widened my variety and level of colleges to chose from. I am a good student, but my SAT scores were not reflecting that. Matt worked with me on how to approach the test and understand its tricks. He knows how the test-makers think, how they want you to think, and how you need to think to beat them.
Aside from mastering math, Matt also taught me how to have the perfect, confident mentality. I felt more confident walking into the SAT than any other test. What I took away the most from my sessions with Matt were these lessons on mindset and mental toughness. I genuinely believe that was the difference that boosted my score. My score in the reading section also increased, and I fully credit this new mindset. Even if I did not receive the scores I wanted, I would still be happy with my time spent with Matt. He gave me confidence, inspiration, and problem solving skills that I not only saw on the SAT, but continue to see in everyday life. I do not believe that I would have achieved the scores or acceptance letters I did without the help of Matt.

Love math again - WaveLength tutoring + test prep - Monmouth County
I love Math again. Matt has made it so much easier to understand, and to show me new ways of looking at problems. Marlee and Matt taught me various useful SAT skills. More importantly, they taught me that if I can overcome the SAT (something I really dread and fear), and work hard for it, I can do anything.
I learned so much from Marlee and Matt. They taught me skills that will not just help me on the SAT, but also throughout life. With every SAT practice test I take I can see my score and skill improving. Thank you guys so much!

I am happy to recommend Wavelength Tutoring. Matt and Marlee became friends and mentors to my daughter. They helped her to understand her own strengths and weaknesses and how they affected her approach to and performance on the SAT. She was able to reach her goals and gain admission to her first choice college, Dartmouth.
Higher SAT score -McDermott
Dear Matt,
This is a very professional organization. The SAT instructors are all very knowledgeable and highly skilled. I thought the in person face to face was very helpful. Most importantly the return on investment was obvious when you consider the impact a higher SAT score can have on your child's future.
Thanks,
