SAT reading - WaveLength SAT tutoring + test prep - Monmouth County

Marlee was an incredibly knowledgeable teacher. She not only taught us ways to ace SAT Reading and Writing questions, but also enabled us to think like the test makers do in regards to questions being literal, Critical Reading passages being disectable, and many other things. Furthermore, Marlee taught invaluable writing and grammar skills not usually discussed in school.

Essay - WaveLength SAT tutoring + test prep classes - Middletown NJ

Reading has helped me recognize grammatical patterns that allow me to find issues within a sentence. She taught me to read stories much faster and extrapolate the most important details from them. It helped in the orderly structure of my essay as well as the expectation for my essay by the audience. Teacher is very knowledgeable respectful and fun. Math has been extremely useful in terms of speeding up problem time and breaking down the question to simpler terms. The teacher is respectful, knowledgeable, and fun. He has also contributed to my comprehension skills on questions.

Applying to college - WaveLength SAT tutoring + test prep - Middletown NJ

I cannot say enough about WaveLength tutoring. I would recommend this to every child applying to college, regardless of the type of test one will take. Marlee and Matt incorporate humor into strategies that can be implemented on any test. My vocabulary has significantly increased and I've been taught how to decipher the SAT truly for what it is, the two tutors have made it so much easier to calmly take an exam.

Math SAT teacher - WaveLength SAT tutoring + test prep - Manalapan

The math SAT teacher, Andrea, was better than I expected. I thought she would just re-teach me everything I already knew and make it seem harder than it was, but it turned out that I learned new tricks for the SATs. The English teacher, Daniel helped me improve in grammar and critical reading. He provided useful tips to make the SAT easier and I learned a lot, including better vocab and time management.

SAT preparation - WaveLength SAT tutoring + test prep - Little Silver

Through WaveLength SAT preparation, I’ve learned a lot. My math tutor, Matt, was a very good tutor. I’ve learned a lot of important material that will be used on the SAT. One major lesson I learned was that no matter how difficult a problem may look, it could be simplified into a much easier problem. I also learned how to look at problems in a different way to get the solution quicker, which is a very important tactic for the SAT. Marlee, my English tutor, was very good as well. She taught us a lot in terms of what is really needed on the SAT. I learned a whole lot of necessary vocabulary, how to write an essay that is quick and to the point, and how to make reading comprehension much more simplified. Marlee and Matt, while teaching a lot, also made their lessons fun. Taking this SAT prep class will help a lot on the test. It’ll change my future!

Vocabulary - WaveLength SAT tutoring + test prep classes - Shrewsbury

Verbal -  The skeleton was the best "trick" which I learned. The skeleton helps me to focus on only the main ideas of the passages I also now know to always be literal when selecting my answer choices. Always making sure I am literal, helps me with my critical reading and vocabulary sections. Math - I learned to approach the math section by treating it like a critical reading section. What helped me the most was writing down the question that was being asked so that I would not answer a different question or not fully answer a question.

Math scores - WaveLength SAT tutoring + test prep - Long Branch

Math- I liked the class a lot. Matt was a very good teacher and he always kept the class interesting. My math scores definitely improved a great amount after the second SAT, and I look forward to taking the test my junior and senior years. Verbal – this class was very good as well. Marlee is down to earth and really knows how to point out the critical things about the SAT itself I will miss both classes as both of them have taught me in valuable information that will definitely help me in the future.

Tips Tricks SAT - WaveLength tutoring + test prep - Rumson SAT prep

The course was quite informative. The tutors provided "tips and tricks" that would make taking the SATs a bit easier. While taking this course I saw an immediate score increase on the first practice test compared to last PSAT that I took in the fall. Most of all, the best thing that I got out of this course was gaining the mentality to constantly improve my SAT/prepare for my SATs even when this course will be over. The tutors were very friendly and approachable.

I like how class is adapted to fit the needs of each student. Also, I think the grammar rules, Skinny packet, and Reading and Science steps are great tools and are very beneficial. Overall I learned a lot and I love the idea of puppy breaks!

Prep companies - WaveLength SAT tutoring + test prep - Middletown NJ

Dear Marlee, I just wanted to thank you for all the work you did with Grace in preparing her for the reading/writing sections on the SAT. Grace's scores on these 2 sections prior to working with you were 610 in reading and 640 in writing, which were very good scores but she was an A student at High Tech High School and she felt she needed to do better to have any chance of being accepted into any of the top colleges in the country. After working for a total of 7 sessions that lasted 2 hours each her scores jumped to a 740 in reading and 720 in writing. That is an amazing accomplishment and we couldn't be more proud of her. Grace is our youngest so we have had experience with other SAT prep companies before finding yours and I can say without a doubt that working with you was by far the best experience. You were able to tailor her classes to the areas that she needed help in rather than following a set plan so there was no wasted time. Classes were scheduled around her free time and with playing High School in addition to club soccer that was a challenge. She didn't need to sit through Math review courses that she didn't need simply because that was the way other companies ran their review courses. We were able to choose only reading/writing, however if she had needed math help I know your company also offered that option. I highly recommend Wavelength SAT to anyone considering SAT tutoring!
